Industry experience
Ledbury Primary School – Headteacher
2006–Present
As headteacher of a large primary school, I lead a team of 70 staff using a Values-based ethos to engage a high performing team who put students at the heart of every choice they make. The school has been consistently rated as Ofsted ‘Good’, under different frameworks, during my headship.
Clehonger Primary School – Headteacher
2003–2006
Taking on this rural school was my first challenge as a headteacher. Although it was a small school of 120 pupils, it provided me with enormous opportunities to develop a Values-based ethos for the school and its local diverse community. As part of an ‘Excellence in Cities’ project, the school made great strides forward in engaging students in the enjoyment of learning.
Broadlands Primary School – Deputy Headteacher
1996-2003
Starting my leadership journey in a city primary school gave me an insight into the comprehensive nature of a large school. I led the maths and P.E curriculum areas, as well as teaching full-time as a deputy headteacher.
