Why Nidal?
Nidal is currently a PhD candidate and an Associate Teaching Fellow at UCL’s Institute of Education and a Research Fellow at the UNESCO Centre for Education and Peace. Her Doctoral Research focuses on international school leadership, with emphasis on knowledge, practice and development of leadership in multicultural contexts.
What will you learn?
Nidal will be sharing her research on what it means to lead ‘inter-nationally’ in the context of the past, present and future. She will share her research with international school leaders and what she has learnt about the implications for training and development. She will propose a way of continuing and integrating this learning in a practical, collaborative way
What difference will this make for you?
We hope that this session prompts you to look up towards the future of international school leadership. You will have time to reflect on your school’s existing relationship with the cultural and social capital of teachers, students and the wider community as well as what is called of you now. To find out more about Nidal’s work, here is a recent article on International School leadership in England and Qatar.
